02Drive
Updated: 11/9/03
I imagine that 02Drive has undergone some changes since your last visit. No, the 02 hasn't moved or been put back on the road. Time constraints in my personal life (translate: 15 month old son) have kept me from spending much time in the garage. The plan is for the focus of 02Drive to remain on this crusty, rusty 02 and include other avenues for my entertainment (namely parting cars).
I've added a couple of units to
the stable since I last wrote. Fine vehicles they are, too. March of
2003 I purchased an e30 325i from AKG Motorsport in Zion IL. Go here to
the more info.
Mrs. 02Drive got herself into a 98 740il. This may seem blasphemous, but this is the ultimate child car made. Lots of room in the front; lots of room in the back; lots of room in the trunk. What more could you ask for. And it's NOT a minivan!!
When you get right down to it, I've always been car fanatic. Hence, my love of the BMW 2002. Since my last update, I've had 3 job changes and only the latest career move to instructing students at a technical college even remotely begin to fill the void of my enthusiasm for BMWs. I simply can't get enough.
What 02Drive is likely to become will be much more than just a site chronicling the rebirth of a 2002. Sure, when that happens the content related to that particular project will be updated. I'm beginning to involve myself in dismantling cars and selling the parts. I can see no better way to get the "education" needed to understand working on cars while increasing my income at the same time. Secondly, this will be a good way to get further involved in the BMW social world. Therefore I'll be offering parts from dismantled cars online in small volume.
Contact me via emial at bimmerguru@yahoo.com to discuss your part needs. I may not have it but, hey, you never know.
Happy '02ing,
Jamie
